Big Game Fishing Golden Catch is a 5-reel, 3-row interactive casino game with 10 paylines. There are 9 regular paying symbols that win if three or more appear on a payline, starting from the leftmost reel, plus several different Money Fish symbols that pay out as a line win for any combination. There is also a Bonus symbol that can appear anywhere on the screen, and 3 or more will trigger the Free Spins bonus.

Money Fish Symbols

The game features seven different Cash Fish symbols, each displaying a cash value underneath. The cash value of any fish is paid out when a Fisherman also appears anywhere on the reels. If multiple Fishermen appear, each will pay out the total value of any fish on the reels. The Fisherman only appears on the reels during Free Spins and Max Play. Cash values are dimmed during base play. Cash values are a multiple of the selected base bet. Larger fish have progressively higher values, with the Golden Pike symbol displaying up to 5,000x the selected bet.

Cash prizes do not increase with the Gold Bet activated.

The fish can display the following values (as multiples of the base bet): 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 35x, 50x, 100x, 200x, 500x, 5000x.

Wild symbol

The Wild symbol is the Angler symbol, and it substitutes for all other symbols except the Bonus symbol. Angler symbols can display a multiplier during the Free Spins bonus, which only applies to Cash Fish wins.

The Fisherman can display the following multipliers: 1x (no multiplier displayed), 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x.

Bonus Fishing

At the end of a spin in the base game, fishing rods may appear on reels that do not contain a Bonus symbol. A fishing line with a hook will be cast and will disappear beneath the reels. When retrieved, one or more Bonus symbols will have been caught, which will then appear on the reels and may trigger Free Spins.

Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Bonus symbols in the base game triggers Free Spins. At the start of Free Spins, the two smallest fish types are upgraded to the next fish level. The number of spins triggered, plus any extra fish upgrades, is determined by the number of Bonus symbols that have appeared.

Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers 10 Free Spins, starting at level 1.

Landing 4 Bonus symbols triggers 15 Free Spins, starting at level 2 (starts with 3 symbols added to the path).

Landing 5 symbols activates 20 Free Spins, starting at level 4 (path completed from the start).

During Free Spins, the Angler may appear on the reels and will catch any Cash Fish that appears simultaneously anywhere on the reels. It may also display a multiplier, which will be applied to the value of any fish caught. A path of 9 stages is displayed above the reels, and each time an Angler appears, it is added to the path. For every 3 Anglers added to the path, the next level is triggered. When the current number of spins is exhausted, the next level is triggered, awarding 10 extra Free Spins and upgrading all lower-value fish symbols remaining on the reels to the next level, highlighted behind each set of Anglers along the path. Angler symbols that appear on screen without Cash Fish will remain fixed in their position and stay on the reels until Cash Fish appear or the Free Spins end. Free Spins are played with the same bet and paylines as the base game that triggered them.

Maximum Game Mode

It is possible to play an alternative version of the Base Game with the same bet value using the Max Play button. In this mode, the Angler symbol is added to the reels, triggering the Cash Fish prizes, and the reels only contain Fish, Angler, and Bonus symbols. All other paying symbols are removed from the reels and replaced with the Fishing Weight symbol, which has no associated payout.

Golden Bet

There is an option for the player to increase their bet by 1.5% to activate the Bonus Replay feature and increase the probability of triggering Free Spins. This will be activated when two Bonus symbols appear on the reels, and the reels that did not land a Bonus symbol will spin again for a second chance to win the bonus. The Gold Bet can be activated in both Standard and Max Play modes, and line wins or Money Fish wins will be paid out on the initial spin and any subsequent Replays. The paytable and Fish prizes do not increase with the Gold Bet activated.

Dual Risk Function

You can gamble any winnings you make in the base game, including Money Fish wins in Max Play mode, by activating the Gamble feature with the Gamble button, which you can set to OFF, ON, or 5X OR MORE. When you ACTIVATE the Gamble feature, any base game winnings that haven't also triggered the Free Spins bonus will qualify you to gamble. With the Gamble feature set to 5X OR MORE, any base game winnings of at least 5x the base bet value will qualify you to gamble.

You'll have two options for gambling: On the left Gamble Wheel, the current prize can be multiplied by 1.5x, 2x, 3x, or 5x (some cash prizes will be rounded up, and the odds of winning will be adjusted accordingly). On the right Gamble Wheel, the current prize can be gambled in tiers to access Free Spins, including 5 Free Spins plus the entry fee with 3, 4, or 5 Bonus symbols. The amount gambled can be changed using the plus and minus buttons on either side, and the odds of winning are displayed on the Gamble Wheel.

When you select Gamble, both hands will spin. If the hand lands on the green segment of the selected wheel, you win, and the current prize will be updated to reflect your stake. If the hand lands on the red segment of the selected wheel, you lose and exit the Gamble feature without winning.

The Gamble feature will continue until you accept the current prize, lose your gamble, or reach the maximum prize on the Gamble Wheel. The Free Spins Gamble Wheel will be deactivated once you exceed the maximum Free Spins access level.

Bonus Purchase

By selecting the Bonus Purchase button, the player can pay x125 to purchase the Free Spins with the bet size of their choice.

There is a maximum bet that can be placed when Buying the Bonus. The maximum bet in the Buy the Bonus may differ from the information above depending on where you play. The reels will spin to reveal at least three Bonus symbols, awarding the corresponding number of Free Spins for the number of Bonus symbols that appear on the screen. The bonus will be played in the same way as in a normal game. This may vary depending on where you play the game.

How to calculate payline earnings

To calculate your total payline winnings, calculate the winnings for all paylines and add them together. To calculate a single payline winnings, count the number of identical symbols aligned sequentially on the left reel line. Any associated winnings will appear in the paytable. Only the highest winning combination per line will be paid.
