Spice

Basic concepts of the game

Spice is a 6-reel, 6-row digital slot machine with the Avalanche™ feature, 7 main game features with 3 different Wild features, Free Spins and Super Free Spins.

The playing area consists of 6 vertical reels and an additional top row that acts as a Feature Lane with 6 positions.

The symbols in Feature Lane move from right to left before entering the reels.

The game includes 15,625 bet shapes and different bet values. If the symbols match in any position on three or more adjacent reels, from the leftmost reel to the rightmost reel, without gaps, a bet shape prize is awarded. Multiple bet shape prizes are created when more instances of the symbol appear on the same reels, making the bet shape prize longer. Only the longest combination of symbols is paid. Simultaneous bet shape prizes are added together.

The payout for each winning combination is based on the payout table and the total bet.

Each winning position receives a multiplier that starts at x2 and doubles each time it participates in a subsequent prize during Avalanches.

For each winning symbol, the total sum of multipliers from all its winning positions is applied when calculating the prize amount.

The maximum payout for the game is 15,000x the stake. When the total winnings exceed this amount, the game round will end and 15,000x the stake will be awarded.

Example of calculation and betting methods

The longest winning combination of low-paying symbols is 4 symbols on reels 2–6. The number of winning bet forms is determined by multiplying the number of matching symbols on each reel involved in the prize: 2 × 1 × 1 × 1 = 2 winning bet forms.

Avalanche™ Function

If a prize appears on the reels, an Avalanche™ begins. The symbols in winning combinations disappear, making way for a new Avalanche of symbols. Avalanches continue until there are no more prizes on the reels.

Wild Symbols

Wild symbols can appear on reels 1 to 6, including Feature Lane, and substitute for all regular symbols that can form winning combinations.

Replacing Wild symbols pays the highest possible winning combination in a bet form according to the paytable.

Special Functions

A variety of special features can appear in Feature Lane and drop into the play area during the game.

These features can modify symbols, create additional winning opportunities, or improve multipliers. All features interact with Avalanche and can be triggered while it is occurring.

Scatter symbols

Two types of Scatter symbols can appear anywhere on the reels: Scatter and Super Scatter.

Scatter symbols in Feature Lane do not count towards triggering Free Spins, but they may appear on the reels during Avalanches.

Landing 3 or more Scatter symbols triggers Free Spins. However, landing 3 or more Scatter symbols, including at least 1 Super Scatter, triggers Super Free Spins.

Bomb

When there are no wins and at least one Bomb symbol is present on the reels, the Bomb feature is activated.

Remove its position along with all adjacent regular symbols in a 3x3 square.

At the same time, all multipliers associated with the affected positions are doubled.

Row Converter

The Row Converter is activated when no prize is formed and no other function is activated.

Transforms all eligible symbols in a horizontal row into the same symbol.

The selected symbol is chosen from those present in that row, which may lead to additional winning combinations.

9-Square Converter

The 9-Square Converter is activated when there are no wins, a 9-Square Converter symbol is present and there is no Bomb symbol in the play area.

Select a regular symbol and transform a 3x3 area into that symbol, increasing the potential for higher profits.

Random Wilds

The Random Wild function transforms a selection of regular symbols into Wilds.

The number of symbols converted depends on how many eligible symbols there are, but at least one will always be affected.

Locked Wild

The Locked Wilds act as Wild symbols and remain in place during Avalanches.

When they are part of a winning combination, they remain on the reels, allowing them to contribute to multiple consecutive wins within the same round.

Free Spins

In the main game, getting 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatter symbols during a game round awards 5, 8, 10 or 12 Free Spins respectively, when there are no more Avalanches and winnings are assessed.

If at least one of these Scatter symbols is a Super Scatter, Super Free Spins is activated instead.

During Free Spins and Super Free Spins, the same mechanics and features apply as in the main game, with some improvements.

Multipliers earned during Avalanche do not reset between spins and are maintained throughout Free Spins and Super Free Spins, increasing the potential for higher winnings.

Additional Free Spins can be obtained through special symbols:

  • Getting a +3 symbol grants 3 additional spins.
  • Getting a +3 gold symbol also grants 3 additional spins and upgrades the current Free Spins to Super Free Spins if they are not already active.

Free Spins and Super Free Spins are played with the same bet as the round that triggered them. At the end of the Free Spins or Super Free Spins, your total winnings are added to any winnings from the round that triggered them, and the game returns to that round.

Payment Mechanics

The game can be played with up to 15625 ways to bet.

Malfunctions will void all prizes and games. For more information, see Unfinished Game Rounds.

If matching symbols appear in any position on three or more adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost reel to the rightmost reel, without spaces, you win a prize in the form of a bet. Only the longest winning combination of matching symbols is paid out.

Return to player

The theoretical return to the player of the game is 94.05%.
