Speed Dragon Tiger

Introduction and Objective

Speed Dragon Tiger is a Top Card game, a simple and fast card game of chance operated by a dealer.

The main objective is to predict which hand (Dragon or Tiger) will receive the highest value card; however, there are other types of bets that are explained in these rules.

How to Play

Classification of Cards

The cards in the game are ranked from lowest to highest, with the Ace being the lowest and the King the highest, as follows: Ace → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9 → 10 → Jack → Queen → King.

Only the numerical value of each card is important for the main game. The suit of the card (Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, or Spades) has no effect on the outcome of the main game.

Cards and Shuffle

The game is played with a shoe (sabot) containing eight decks of fifty-two cards, which are shuffled. A cut card is added to each shoe.

At the start of each new shoe, the dealer turns the first card face up. The dealer then discards the number of cards corresponding to the value of that first card (a process known as "burning cards"). Any cards used during the game are placed in the discard tray and are not used again until the shoe is replaced.

Once the cut card is drawn and the current round is completed, the current shoe is replaced with a new one.

Game Procedure

Each round begins with the dealer dealing a single card face up to both Dragon and Tiger. The first card is dealt to Dragon. The second card is dealt to Tiger. No additional cards are dealt.

The highest card drawn wins the round. For example, Dragon dealt a King will beat Tiger dealt a Jack.

Main Bets

Before each round begins, you can place bets on the following main bets:

Dragon

If you believe this hand will have the highest value card.

Tiger

If you believe this hand will have the highest value card.

Draw

If you believe that both hands will have cards of the same value.

If the round ends in a Tie (including a Tie), bets on Dragon and Tiger are returned (known as a "Push"). You cannot bet on Dragon and Tiger simultaneously in the same round. Bets on Tie and Tie are independent and can be placed with or without a main bet on Dragon or Tiger.

Secondary Bets

In addition to the main bets, you can also place bets on the following side bets (subject to availability):

Tie of Sticks

This secondary bet wins when both Dragon and Tiger receive cards of identical value and suit.

Big

This secondary bet wins when a card with a value of 8 or higher is dealt to the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger).

Small

This secondary bet wins when a card with a value of 6 or lower is dealt to the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger).

Odd

This secondary bet wins when one of the following cards is dealt to the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger): Ace, 3, 5, 9, Jack or King.

Pair

This secondary bet wins when one of the following cards is dealt to the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger): 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or Queen.

Red

This secondary bet wins when a red suit card (Diamonds or Hearts) is dealt to the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger).

Black

This secondary bet wins when a black suit card (Clubs or Spades) is dealt to the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger).

Grades:

  • The secondary bets Big, Small, Odd, Even, Black and Red lose if the corresponding hand (Dragon or Tiger) has a 7-value card.
  • Opposing bets on certain side bets, such as Big and Small, Odd and Even, and Black and Red, can be blocked within the game.
  • Side bets are subject to in-game availability, and some side bets may require a main bet to be placed first.
  • Side bets are also subject to minimum and maximum bet amounts, and may be restricted to a percentage of the total main bet.

How to Place Bets

Bets must be placed before the cards are dealt and cannot be changed during the round once accepted. A timer indicates the time available to place your bet. Once the timer expires, betting is closed. Please note that the betting timer may vary depending on the specific game you are playing, but it will never be less than 3 seconds. The timer appears as follows and changes color during the countdown:

To participate in a round, you must have sufficient funds to cover your bets. Your current balance is displayed in the bottom left section of the footer.

To place a bet, simply place your chip in the corresponding betting area on the game interface; for example, placing a chip on Dragon, Tiger, Tie, or a side bet. Each time you place a chip, the bet value will increase by the value of the selected chip.

Shoe Paths and Statistics

The Dragon Tiger score cards (known as "Paths") show patterns and trends from previous rounds in the current shoe. The Paths begin with the first round of a new shoe and continue until the cut card is drawn. They reset when a new shoe begins. The game features five traditional Paths, as well as shoe statistics, which appear and function as set out below.

Bead Plate (Path of Pearls)

This Path tracks the results of each round (Dragon, Tiger, or Tie) in a grid format. It appears as follows:

Each cell displays the result of one round, starting in the top left corner and moving down to the bottom of the column. The results then continue at the top of the next column to the right. Red circles indicate Dragon wins, yellow circles indicate Tiger wins, and green circles indicate draws.

Big Road

This path tracks the Dragon's and Tiger's winning sequence, with draws noted separately. It appears as follows:

The grid begins with the result of the first round in the top left corner. If the next result matches the previous one (for example, consecutive Dragon wins), it is recorded in the same column below the previous entry. If the result changes (for example, from a Dragon win to a Tiger win), then a new column begins to the right. The grid is six rows deep, and if a winning streak exceeds six wins, it continues to the right of the cell below, forming what is known as a "Dragon Tail." Red circles indicate Dragon wins, and yellow circles indicate Tiger wins. Ties are marked with a green line through the most recent Dragon or Tiger circle, and multiple consecutive ties are indicated by a number above the green line.

Big Eye Road

This Path analyzes the Big Path to show whether results repeat (known as “streaks”) or alternate (known as “chops”) by comparing pairs of recent results. Red symbols indicate streaks and yellow symbols indicate alternations.

Small Road

This Path analyzes the Big Path to highlight trend changes by analyzing the results from two columns back, focusing on pattern changes. Red symbols indicate consistent runs, and yellow symbols indicate frequent alternations.

Cockroach Road

This Path analyzes the Big Path to indicate long-term trend variations by analyzing the results from three columns back, emphasizing pattern consistency. Red symbols indicate sustained streaks, and yellow symbols indicate irregular patterns.

Ask Dragon and Ask Tiger

Use the Ask Dragon and Ask Tiger buttons to see the trends in the Paths if the next result were a Dragon or Tiger victory. This feature appears as follows:

Shoe Statistics

The game provides statistics for the current shoe to help track patterns and results. The following metrics are displayed:

  • Number of rounds completed
  • Number of Dragon victories
  • Number of victories for the Tiger
  • Number of Ties

This function appears as follows:
